Certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
In the Fall of 2011, I stepped on the scale and got a wake up call I had been avoiding for years. I was a high school wrestler and was in pretty good shape then, but after years of inactivity and poor nutrition I was 275lbs and morbidly obese. I knew I had to make a big change. At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to give Crossfit a try. It was the hardest physical activity I had done in years, but the sense of accomplishment afterward was amazing. Though it wasn’t the workouts that really hooked me, it was the supportive community and walking in every day getting to do something different. Thanks to Crossfit and better nutrition I have lost over 50lbs and am a much healthier person. My favorite part of coming to Claddagh every day is growing with my fellow members as athletes and and learning to do things we never thought possible. So for those out there looking to give this a try, I will say that the hardest part is walking through the door. Once you do you will be part of a community that will help you become the best version of yourself.
